The history of character design, and the evolution of what it used to be to what I could become in the future. Something that I find really interesting and want to specialise in is character design. This is within lots of different areas, such as comic books, video games, etc. I would look into how they were drawn and created in the past, compared to what that process is now, and even theorise what it would be like in the future. This would most likely be a research paper more than an artefact. The in-activity epidemic and how we are not taught the right exercises fro us. Could create a new curriculum for schools, or a way to improve upon education as well as the industry on a whole. My current idea is to create a talk-bot that helps people that are having a mental health crisis, this would include panic attacks, anorexia, depression, just to name a few. These talk-bots will have characters that go alongside them, these would match the crisis, so the depression would be light purple, or the panic attack would be sea blue, this is so that they are calming colours that contrast to the typical colours associated with the crisis, such as red for panic attack and black/purple for depression.  Think about accessibility, and clicks to mean different things, look into haptics and wearable tech that helps it, peoples comfort habits such as pulses, different functions that would help different people, if it would be able to get up on the home screen immediately.  Research into the idea  What is mental health? Ikigai Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means 'a reason of being'. The word is used to indicate the source of value in your life or the things that make people lives worthwile. " According to Buettner, the concept of  ikigai  is not exclusive to Okinawans: “there might not be a word for it but in all four blue zones such as Sardinia and Nicoya Peninsula, the same concept exists among people living long lives.”" We make a list that will help us to come up with ideas for this project. Dissertation prep brief: Get us thinking of what we want to do next year. Easier on us for next year as we have more time next year to create the final product.  2500-word proposal for our dissertations. What we are proposing to do, this is what we would have to give to our employer to get funding etc. Also ensure that we do not get too stuck in this idea, we can change.  It’s a research project that has a digital artefact.
