lecture notes: how to lay out the proposal.

Document made up of 4 things.
1.     Proposal
2.     Reference list (Everything you look at) EVERYTHING. Anything that we quote, look at, get influenced by.
3.     Bibliography, any other documentation that we have looked at.
4.     Appendix (if any), Where you reference your own research, i.e. surveys, interviews,

Work on the question, this is so it’s open enough that we can explore, but not too open where you have too many options to do.

-       Why have you chosen this question?
-       Does it have a personal relation with you?
-       What are your experiences with the issue already?
-       Brief outline of what you hope to find out.
-       Reference any text, audio, or video you can.

Use personal experience on the topic as a base for why you are doing it. Find a quote that backs up your question, this helps get a quote into your text.

Hope to get a better understanding of the issue or topic. Gain a better knowledge of the topic.

Put references in the text, i.e. like QUOTE (ref1)

Think as if this is a proposal to a company that you are asking for money from.

Problem.
1.     What is the problem?
2.     How has it developed?
3.     What was it like in the past?
4.     Why is it a problem?
5.     Why is my solution a good one?
6.     Who does its effect?

Solution.
1.     What do you think needs to change?
2.     How will you change/fix the problem?
3.     Is there an alternative? Either this or this.
4.     Who will benefit the most?
5.     Talk about your artefact
6.     Reference any text, audio or videos.

Obstacles.
1.     Cost?
2.     Does it require multiple people to be involved? Linked to charities and how you could get funding from that. Only write if it is relevant.
3.     Funding?
4.     Usability. Testing it and that it makes sense.
5.     Will there be any resistance from another party or people? I.e. if you do something vegan will PETA be against it, etc.
6.     Reference any text, audio, or video you can.

Relevant projects. Any other references to past projects, similar ideologies or studies that have been taken in the past that are relevant to your project.

Summarise your findings.
1.     What the problem is? and What you plan to do about it?
2.     What your artefact may/will be?
3.     How will this help?
