Final reflection
I think at the beginning of this project I found it easy to come up with ideas, especially since it is an open brief. I originally wanted to do this project about mental health, however I am very happy with the change that I made and the direction that I am currently going in, this is because it is a huge interest for me and links to something that I am very passionate about, dance. I did, however, find that there were not many lectures or lessons really for this project, we did get feedback on our ideas, but I still feel as if I do not understand parts of this project fully, such a referencing.
I have really enjoyed researching into my topic and found it relatively easy to do so. I did however, struggle a lot writing the actual proposal, I just really struggled to actually write it and could not seem to come up with the right words, I think with the whole pandemic going on currently it has been really difficult to sit down and just write out the essay. It is just a very difficult time to try to do any work at all, so I feel it is the same with all my projects for this semester. I also understand that the tutors were not fully prepared for the pandemic, but I feel as if we got little to no support, which was very difficult to get used to when we would be in university every week normally. Also, lots of us not only me did not get responses from the tutors, or feedback was very delayed, I understand that there was Easter break but we had two whole weeks before that where we got no information, as well as two weeks mid semester before the pandemic which were ‘wellness weeks’.
I feel like I have not learnt any new skills or developed any of my skills through doing this brief, however I guess that will come in the next part of this project, as this semester was mainly coming up with the idea and researching everything.
Overall, I have enjoyed this brief, but it has been challenging to do work with what is currently happening in the world.
