Change4Life
When doing research into different campaigns and companies that are within the health care field, one that instantly came to mind was Change4Life. I remember watching tv as a child and seeing adverts for them, as well as learning about them in school.
Change4Life is a public health programme started in January 2009, based in England. It was the First Nation social marketing campaign to be created in England to directly be aimed at the causes of obesity.
They have 6 healthy behaviours that they encourage families to begin doing:
1. 5 a day- 5 fruits or veg each day
2. 400, 600, 600- This is where they try to stick to these calorie intakes for each meal, so Breakfast 400 calories, Lunch 600, and Dinner 600
3. Watch the salt- Keeping salt less than 6g per day for adults
4. Cut back fat- Reducing the amount of saturated fat in your diet
5. Sugar swaps- Reducing the amount of sugar you have
6. 100 calorie snacks- 2 per day
They have a variety of different marketing approaches, such as television, radio, social media, Pr, and direct marketing.

When doing research on them I found that they had this thing called 'School zone', which is a school programme that has curriculum-linked materials to help support primary school teachers to encourage children to eat. healthy and balanced diet, as well as easy ways to get kids to move during the day.

They also launched a campaign in January 2019 that encourages families to cut down their sugar consumption.
"Children in England are having around 2,800 sugar cubes more than they should each year, more than double the maximum recommended amount. Too much sugar is bad for children’s health as it can lead to the build-up of harmful fat on the inside that we can't see. This fat can cause weight gain and serious diseases like type 2 diabetes, which people are getting younger than ever before, and heart disease and some cancers."

On their website they have lots of different information, such as healthy recipes, challenges for kids, mental health advice. They even have an app that shows you different recipes.

On their website I found one of their games called 'Violet's incredible dance' it is aimed at kids to get them to be active through dancing. They have used the concept of Violet from The Incredibles, saying that "Your forcefield has made you invisible, so it's time to dance like nobody's watching!".
I think this is a really good idea as not only are they using a film character that kids like, but they are linking exercise to being a super hero which kids will love.
