Covid19 and health
I decided to look into how COVID19 has affected the health and exercise that people do. I personally before even researching it fully think that this has helped everyone to get more active. This is because the only reason people can currently go out since lockdown is to go food shopping once a week, and to do their daily exercise, this is almost forcing people to be more active as when they go out they are always gonna be doing one type of exercise. Another reason I think this is because since everyone has so much time now they are thinking more about being active, even seeing the sheer amount of fitness videos on Youtube now shows this to be true.

When looking into it I found that lots of sites that sell exercise equipment or clothing most of them are sold out. When looking on Argos I found this sign on the page. Which agrees with my narrative that people are being more active in this time.

- "Overweight people at greater risk of being hospitalised with coronavirus
- Analysis made of 15,100 hospitalised coronavirus patients across the UK
- Scientists studied samples from 177 hospitals across the UK"
"A link between carrying excess weight and developing severe symptoms of Covid-19 has been made after an analysis of 15,100 hospitalised coronavirus patients across the UK, reports The Telegraph."
"Doctors say the immune systems of fat people are constantly ramped up as they try to protect and repair the damage inflammation causes to cells. Using all its energy fending off inflammation means the body's defence system has few resources left to defend against a new infection like COVID-19."
"Professor Jean-François Delfraissy, who heads the scientific council that advises the government on the epidemic, said up to 25 percent of French people are seriously at risk from the virus because of age, pre-existing conditions or obesity."
"He added that Americans are also particularly at risk because of rising levels of obesity in the US, with currently 42.4 percent of the adult population being severely overweight."
